Halloween is just around the corner, and Mojang is celebrating with a special three-in-one spooky bundle for Minecraft on consoles. The Spooky Bundle contains the Halloween Mash-up (featuring a pre-built spooky world for you to explore), the Halloween Battle Map, and the Campfire Tales Skin Pack. Over the course of the past year, Telltale Games has released Minecraft: Story Mode, a cinematic point-and-click adventure title based on Minecraft, the ever-popular Swedish sandbox game. Minecraft: Story Mode was divided into eight separate "episodes," and digital copies of these episodes were released individually between October 2015 and September 2016 on multiple platforms.

Yesterday, Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure, a physical collection that contains all eight episodes of the game, launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. To commemorate the release of the new collection, Telltale Games published a launch trailer for Minecraft: Story Mode, which can be seen after the jump!

One of my most anticipated expansions for LEGO Dimensions is launching in just over a month. Starting November 18th, retailers will be carrying the Sonic Level Pack, which includes Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Speedster, and The Tornado as physical figurines. While we don't have any footage of the new levels, we now know a little bit more about what characters will appear in the new content. Joining Sonic and Dr. Eggman in the lineup, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, and fan favorite Big the Cat will enter the fun as well. Here's hoping we set off on an adventure to find Froggy!

Did You Know Gaming, a YouTube channel that makes in-depth videos about the history of video games and all the secrets surrounding their development, just posted a new video covering the cult classic Banjo-Kazooie. The video discusses the game's complicated development, the difficulties that Rare experienced while creating its sequel, Nuts & Bolts, the transition that the series experienced when Rare was bought by Microsoft in 2002, and much more.

Two teenagers, Zachary Buchta and Bradley Jan Willem Van Rooy, from Maryland and the Netherlands respectively, were charged with cyber crimes for the attacks that brought both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network down in the holiday season of 2014. The two were charged in federal court for "conspiring to cause damage to protected computers," and the Department of Justice has also seized four domain names including Buchta was arrested last month and ordered to appear in Chicago before a judge.

Back in June, Activision announced a brand new Skylanders game that would allow fans to create their own characters. Starting on October 16th, when Skylanders Imaginators launches in North America, the company will allow you to pay $50 to have your own creations 3D-printed by Shapeways, a company that specializes in 3D printing. On top of this, you can get your Skylander printed on a t-shirt for $25 or on a card for $15.

Minecraft has been out for years, and it's still one of the most popular video games in the world. Microsoft has helped prolong the success of the sandbox game with regular updates (some free and some as paid DLC) adding in new features and content, including textures, music, pre-made worlds, and more. Minecraft is getting a double dose of new content tomorrow, including a paid Chinese Mythology mash-up pack and a free update that adds polar bears, banners, igloos, and more. 4J Studios has released a new trailer for the update, and you can check it out by clicking below!

In the latest addition to the LEGO video game franchise, LEGO Dimensions, players are now able to go head to head in four person competitive multiplayer called Battle Arenas. Players can take each other on in 21 different arenas and in the 4 different game types called "Capture the Flag," "Objective," "Base Bash," and finally "Tick, Tag, and Boom." Each of the Battle Arenas in new expansion packs are still compatible with the original Starter Pack.

Pre-owned last-generation consoles will be on sale for absurdly low prices at GameStop for the next few days. With the company's new "Blast From the Past" sale, customers can buy a used Nintendo Wii console, along with Super Mario Galaxy and Wii Sports, for only $50. An Xbox 360 bundle that comes with three used games (Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag) is available for $50 as well. Most impressively, GameStop is also offering a catch-all console bundle with a Wii, an Xbox 360, and a PlayStation 3, which includes controllers for each console and an external hard drive for the Xbox 360, for only $160.

Crash Bandicoot hasn't received a lot of attention lately, but that is about to change as he will be included in the upcoming game Skylanders Imaginators in celebration of his 20th anniversary. Both Crash and his nemesis Dr. Neo Cortex are set to be featured in the game as playable characters and get their own level called Thumpin' Wumpa Island. Jennifer O'Neal, Studio Head at Vicarious Visions, talked about Crash's inclusion in a recent interview with GameReactor.

Years after its debut, Minecraft is still one of the most popular games in the world, and updates are still regularly adding new content. The next big DLC pack for Minecraft has just been announced, and this time it's based on Chinese Mythology. The new pack launches on October 4th for $4.99, giving players a pre-made world to explore, as well as 41 new skins and 13 themed music tracks.

"Wander through the streets of an ancient great city, marvel at the dragons that dwell around the high mountains, contemplate on your crafting within a mythical monastery and just enjoy the view as you walk through fields and discover how mobs would look in ancient China." Microsoft's Games With Gold comes in strong again with four new titles available for free to those with an Xbox Live Gold subscription. This month's lineup features Team17's The Escapists and Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings, available exclusively for the Xbox One, as well as I Am Alive and MX vs ATV Reflex for both the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Xbox One launched without backwards compatibility, but Microsoft has been steadily providing that feature to fans on a game-by-game basis, and the library of backwards compatible games just got a little bigger. Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb (better known as Major Nelson) announced this morning that Call of Duty 3 is coming to Xbox backwards compatibility today, and it's available now. Back in June, Warner Bros. revealed that a bunch of new LEGO Dimensions characters would be coming this fall. A Ghostbusters Story Pack, Adventure Time and Mission Impossible Level Packs, Adventure Time and Harry Potter Team Packs, and an A-Team Fun Pack will all arrive next week, while other characters like Sonic the Hedgehog and The Gremlins will arrive in November. Warner Bros. recently revealed that three more packs based on The LEGO Batman Movie and Knight Rider will be arriving in February.
